So you're ready to create a webcast! Consult the following steps for all you need to know to have a webcast prepared in no time.
On the platform's control panel, click on Create under Services. A dropdown with event types will expand. Select Webcast. Additionally, from any page of the platform, you can click on the Create Webcast button in the menu bar at the top, as well as Create a webcast from the Home page.

Webcast title. The name field may not be greater than 200 characters. |
Event description |
Details of the content that will be presented. The description field may not be greater than 800 characters. The description section offers a reduced view option, meaning that the participant will need to click to expand the description to read it in full. |
Language |
Default interface language for participants. English or french. |
Screen sharing |
Speakers will have the opportunity to share their screen. This can be changed up to an hour before the start of the webcast. |
Replay |
Event replay can be enabled for rewatch purposes, either as soon as possible or schedule for a specific date; and either available to watch until a certain date or no date limit. |

Step 2: Branding

Upload a cover image | Choose an image to appear in the pre-webcast waiting room. If no image is chosen, the default image (as shown in the image above to the left) will be placed instead. |
Upload a logo | Choose a logo to replace, where the Digicast logo is above. |
Choose a main color | Choose a main color to outline certain texts and icons in the participant interface. |

If the webcast does not need to be customized or, if you have already done the customization, you can validate the creation by clicking on the Save button.
